. PIT PRECISION SHOOT
Heidelberg Sportsmen's Association is offering a new shooting event for handguns. Semi-Auto, Revolver, Single-shot handguns with Iron Sights or Optics in rimfire or centerfire pistol calibers. (NO Magnum or steel core)
Shooters will have 10 targets of varying sizes at varying distances. Shooters engage each target 5 times for a possible total of 50 points. Shooters are encouraged to come with friends as a group. This is NOT a Timed event. Groups move to the targets at their own pace. If any shooters wish to learn electronic scoring, training will be provided. (5 minute lesson is all that is needed).
At the end of each shoot the match director will reveal a predetermined number between 1 and 50 inclusive. If your score matches, you are eligible to receive your next Pit Precision shoot for FREE. If there is no matching score, there will be additional number added to the next shoot.
COST: $10 first firearm. Additional firearm/reshoot $5. Youth $5 age 17 and under. If shooting more than one firearm, you may shoot both at each station before moving, so long as each firearm is scored separately. Active police/sheriff officers with department identification pay $5/firearm.
Preregistration appreciated.
Walkin registration begins at 8:15AM until 12 noon. Registrations take place in the clubhouse up to beginning of shoot. After 9AM, registrations will take place near the shooting area; by the event coordinator. Shooting begins at 9AM. Participants parking near the shooting pits/firing lines, do so at their own risk.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: You are responsible for your own safety. ALL guns must be clear of ammo and /or magazines when not on the firing line. Guns may be holstered, cased, boxed, gun carted, or carried muzzle down from station to station.
Eye AND Ear protection to be worn when the event is in progress by participants and spectators.
