. PIT PRECISION SHOOT
Heidelberg Sportsmen's Association is offering a new shooting event for handguns. Semi-Auto, Revolver, Single-shot handguns with Iron Sights or Optics in rimfire or centerfire pistol calibers. (NO Magnum or steel core)
Shooters will have 10 targets of varying sizes and have the opportunity to engage 5 times each for a possible total of 50 points. Shooters are encouraged to come with friends as a group. This is NOT a Timed event. Groups move to the targets at their own pace and are responsible for scoring themselves.
Scorecards are returned to the clubhouse where official scoring will tabulate the totals. (Please note that electronic scoring may be offered in the near future, and shooters will know their score as the shoot progresses.)
At the end of each shoot the director will reveal a predetermined number between 1 and 50 inclusive. If your score matches, you are eligible to receive your next Pit Precision shoot for FREE.
COST: $10 first firearm. Additional firearm/reshoot $5. Youth $5 age 17 and under. If shooting more than one firearm, you may shoot both at each station before moving, so long as each firearm is scored separately.
Preregistration appreciated. If you have a group of friends wishing to shoot together as a squad (limit 10 members), you may preregister the group with the registration link. Shooters will be squadded with waiting shooters.
Walkin registration begins at 8:30AM until 12 noon. All registrations take place in the clubhouse. Shooting begins at 9AM. NO VEHICLES in the pit/shooting area. Vehicles to remain near clubhouse.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: You are responsible for your own safety. ALL guns must be clear of ammo and /or magazines when not on the firing line. Guns may be holstered, cased, boxed, gun carted, or carried muzzle down from station to station.
Eye AND Ear protection to be worn when the event is in progress by participants and spectators.
