                                                                                             Big Bore Shoot
You only need a rifle with open or peep style sights of .30 caliber or larger in a design prior to 1900, single shot, pump or lever action. (No Box Magazine) You will only need 25 rounds of ammunition to complete the 5 stage course of fire from the standing or benched positions. So break out your 94 Winchester or other big bore rifles and come out to join us for some fun at our Big Bore Shoot. Scoring is based on time and hit factor on targets at 25, 50, 100, 160 and 200 yards. Held several times a year so check our events calendar and mark the dates so you don't miss out on the fun.

                                                                                         Military Surplus Shoot
New at Heidelberg Sportsmen's Association! We now offer a surplus rifle shoot for those who like to collect surplus firearms as well as those who have that old surplus rifle in the closet and want to blow some dust off of an old firearm with a lot of history behind it. Do you have an old Mauser 98, Mosin Nagant , M1Garand or an SKS in surplus condition? Bring them out and join us at our Surplus Rifle shoot. Held only 4 times a year so be sure to check the event calendar for the dates and mark your calendars, you don't want to miss out on the fun.

You will only need 25 rounds of ammunition to shoot the targets at 25, 50, 100, 160 and 200 yards from the standing, sitting, kneeling, prone or benched positions. Each shooter will engage 5 targets at each distance while loading on the clock. This is a fun shoot to get together with like minded firearm owners to have a good time shooting your surplus rifles. Your scores are based on accuracy and time for bragging rights against your buddies.

This shoot is even for sporterized rifles with iron sights, but we do not allow armor piercing ammunition. We do allow surplus ammunition as well as commercial or reloaded ammunition.  Cost is $15 for first rifle and $5 per each additional rifle.

IT IS EXPECTED THAT ALL SHOOTERS READ, UNDERSTAND AND ABIDE BY: BIG BORE/MILITARY SURPLUS RULES AND SAFETY BRIEF.
